Hi, I'm EJ
I help companies design AI-powered assistants that feel natural, useful, and human. Whether I’m simplifying an existing IVR, launching a new chatbot, or transitioning to an LLM-based model, I aim to create intelligent systems that genuinely help people. I’ve led conversation design projects at Amazon, startups, healthcare organizations, and beyond. When I’m not crafting dialogue flows, you’ll probably find me cooking something ambitious, hiking, or out for a run.

I take a systems-thinking approach to conversation design. From mapping dependencies to surfacing edge cases and solving root causes (not just symptoms), my goal is always to create transparent, secure, scalable, and easy-to-use assistants. I challenge assumptions early, often anchoring every decision in user behavior, team input, and long-term maintainability.
My process centers the user, ensuring every interaction is intuitive, respectful of privacy, and grounded in real-world behavior. For me, great design means asking the hard questions early, communicating openly, and delivering solutions that balance utility, privacy, and feasibility.
